FAQs

When do I make payment for the equipment?

You need to pay the full cost of the hire upfront by BACS.  We do not however take a security deposit. Occasionally, we will have to order in fitting adapters specific to your vehicle if we do not have them in stock, so please ensure you book early to avoid any disappointment.

Is it a quick exercise fitting the equipment?

On average it only takes between 20 to 30 minutes to fit all the equipment and show you how to use it.

Do you offer delivery and collection?

Yes, along with the free fitting of the equipment we also offer free delivery and collection within a 15 mile radius of NR33 9AR (google maps calculated).  Anything over is charged at £1.50/mile however this is just for delivery.  There are no additional mileage charges for collection.

Will roof bars fit my particular vehicle?

All we need to know is your car registration and we can tell you if there is a fixing kit available. In reality we can fit 99% of standard UK cars

Why do I need ID?

At Blue Line we do not require a security deposit however we need to know who we are hiring to and where they live,in the event we need to recover any incurred charges as a result of damage or theft of our equipment.

Why should I hire and not buy?

For the vast majority of people, a roof box and roof bars will be used once a year at most, and most often maybe every two years.  The cost of buying the equipment averages around £550 – £600 for the roof box and roof bars from a high street company.  Our one week hire charge of £90 saves around £500 compared to the cost of buying and removes the financial worry of wondering how many times you will actually use the roof box and bars.  The other consideration is roof bars are more often than not vehicle specific, if you changed your vehicle in the future it would mean having to buy new roof bars that will fit the new vehicle.  Another big consideration is the space these roof boxes and roof bars take up.  Even if you have a garden shed or a garage, you will be surprised how much space they take away, especially considering the amount of time they actually get used.  And then finally there is the safety side.  By using a company like Blue Line, you and your family will have full peace of mind that the equipment is all professionally fitted, removing any doubt at all as to whether the equipment has been fitted correctly if you did it yourself.
